About Us

The Fluid Mechanics Research Group is part of the Department of Thermal Engineering and Fluid Mechanics at the School of Engineering of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Our mission is to perform research and education in the field of fluid mechanics and combustion theory.

Currently our group counts ten research members, of which five professors and five PhD students.

We work on a wide range of research topics, varying from fundamental studies of combustion and fluid mechanics, through numerical simulations of jets, to the experimental investigation of jets and waves.
